佛陀的一生•十一月六日開課!
歡迎報名•「青少年菩提學苑」

華府「青少年菩提學苑」Youth C.L.U.B. 開課囉！這一期第一次的課程活動，將於十一月六日星期六正式展開，此一系列的青少年佛學啟蒙的基礎課程(Culture Learning & Understanding Buddhism) 完全免費，歡迎更多有緣的青少年及家庭親近佛法、探尋中華文化，歡迎有興趣的家長為您的子女報名，更歡迎親子闔府參加，同霑法益。

今年的佛法部份，將著重在介紹歷代高僧大德的故事，如龍樹菩薩、六祖慧能、蓮花生大士...、印順導師、證嚴法師等等，再從中闡述佛教中心思想、精神與理念。本月份的活動內容將會複習佛門的基本禮儀，介紹釋迦牟尼佛的故事，從「佛陀的一生」故事中，瞭解到我們為什麼要禮敬並效法這位偉大的精神導師，並將為我們周遭的任何生病或有困境的親朋好友們點燈祈福，動手製作感恩節環保的美勞，送給養老院的老人們。

上(十)月中舉辦了一場開課前的相見歡活動及課務介紹，在豐富的晚餐後，即在孩子們玩Who is who? 相互訪問和介紹的Bingo遊戲展開序幕，接著邀請到教學經驗豐富的王老師，帶領孩子們與家長們，探討 ”Dreams come true!” 人生規劃這個重點主題，舉真人真事的實例並以生動有趣的方式來引導，大家在深思之餘並不得不讚嘆她靈活的教學的方法與感受到她認真與用心的態度。感恩百忙之中，應邀盛情參與的教育顧問林秀蘭女士，以及法鼓山華府DC聯絡處的負責人張居士，在過去四年的回顧報告與今年課務介紹的會議中，不但給予WCBS Youth C.L.U.B. 活動的志工和家長們，高度的肯定、支持與鼓勵，也為這群有佛緣的孩子們感到無比的幸運與幸福。佛教所楬櫫萬事萬物「因緣和合」的真理，若不是靠每一個人的參與和付出，怎會一步一腳印走到的今天的成果，在孩子的成長中又留下許多寶貴的足跡呢？！

華府寧欽博藏佛學中心 (Rigzin Phodrang Vajrayana Buddhism Center)附設的「青少年菩提學苑」，是一個非營利事業的組織，係由一群志同道合的同修志工、發心支援贊助的社會人士與家長們，自2006年起，期望為下一代創造一個認識佛法的機會與環境，並為佛法播種傳薪，以及中華文化、倫理道德教育的宣揚，貢獻一份心力。

課程活動每月一次，自每年11月至放暑假，中英雙語教學，以生動活潑、循序漸進的方式，將佛陀的基礎教育與佛法的智慧，寓教於樂並潛移默化的融入各項有意義的活動與教學之中，帶領青少年機動性的參與其他團體的社區慈善活動等。多元化的教育是教學的方針，培養愛心關懷別人，綠化環境拯救地球，學習團隊精神及領導能力等等，也都是每學年必編列的課題。
