Thank you Michael Wung for creating and posting this tribute to H.E. Ralo Rinphoche. I live in Oregon and so this is a way for me to join you in mourning the transition of this fine man and teacher, and to see a bit of how he served your Sangha in Washington DC over the years. I offer my prayers along with the monks at Rigdzin Phodrang and all who love him for a birth into a wonderful life where his wisdom, kindness, and gifts can serve all sentient beings. I pray he will feel the love and respect we hold for him as he navigates through his soul journey.
I met H.E. Ralo Rinpoche in 2006 when his grandson, Tashi Sherpa, kindly took a number of my group to see him after we had returned from several weeks in Tibet. Many of us had been sick during that time and Rinpoche kindly offered us healing support and blessings that touched my heart in such a powerful way. He was my first contact and instrumental in me taking vows and refuge since that time - I have felt him in my heart through the years even though our time shared was so brief and that I knew so little about (many things!)Tibetan Buddhism at the time.
I pray for comfort and support for Sang Yumla, Tashi and all Rinpoche's family, monastery community, and friends as they mourn and adjust to this transition. May his son Khyngtrul Rinpoche's life work be deeply blessed and enriched by his lineage and loving father and mother, and benefit all.
